The Red Deer Firefighters Association proudly represents the 250 dedicated men and women who serve as Firefighters/Paramedics, Emergency Communications Officers, Fire Prevention Officers, and Emergency Apparatus Technicians in our community. We are a team of highly trained professionals committed to protecting the lives, property, and well-being of the citizens of Red Deer, Alberta.

Red Deer operates under an integrated fire service model, meaning our members are dual-trained as both Firefighters and Paramedics. This comprehensive training and education place our team among the most qualified and versatile emergency responders in Canada. In fact, 2025 marks our 40th year of providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) medical care to the citizens of Red Deer—an achievement that reflects our deep-rooted commitment to excellence in Emergency Medical Services.

Whether it’s battling fires, delivering advanced medical care, or handling complex rescue operations, our members are equipped to respond swiftly and effectively. But our mission goes far beyond responding to emergencies—we’re also deeply involved in advocacy, education, and prevention to ensure Red Deer remains a safe place to live and work.

As proud members of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), we stand together to promote fair working conditions, advanced training, and the resources needed to serve our community with excellence. We also take pride in giving back through charitable efforts, public safety programs, and local partnerships.

The Red Deer Firefighters Association is more than a group of professionals—it’s a Brotherhood and Sisterhood built on honour, trust & dedication to public safety. We are proud to serve, and we are honoured to stand with the people of Red Deer in times of need.
